ABOUT VARSITYX

VarsityX is a next-generation AI-first career accelerator incubated by Wisdom Tree, on a mission to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry demands. We run immersive experiential learning programs from 1-day AI Workshops to 12-week Research Scholar Programs partnering with mentors from MIT, Stanford, Google, and leading startups globally.

We are growing fast, and we're looking for a driven, creative Social Media & Brand Marketing Intern to join our founding team and help shape the VarsityX story online.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Social Media & Brand Marketing Intern at VarsityX, you will work directly alongside our founders and marketing team to build our presence on Instagram and LinkedIn, drive awareness for our programs especially the Research Scholars Program and help us attract ambitious high school students, parents, and school counselors. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where your work will be seen and felt immediately.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Content Creation & Strategy

Plan and produce Instagram and LinkedIn content including Reels, carousels, Stories, and static posts aligned to VarsityX's brand voice

Execute the content calendar across content pillars: student stories, mentor spotlights, program journeys, and application campaigns

Script, shoot (on your device), and edit short-form video content particularly student testimonials and behind-the-scenes program footage

Design social graphics using Canva or equivalent tools, maintaining VarsityX's visual identity

Campaign & Community Management

Drive awareness and applications for the Research Scholars Program through targeted social campaigns

Manage comments, DMs, and community engagement across platforms with a warm, on-brand tone

Support the promotion and logistics of webinar events

Identify and approach relevant school Instagram accounts, student creators, and counselor communities for collaborations and reposts

Growth & Analytics

Track weekly metrics across Instagram and LinkedIn: reach, engagement, follower growth, link clicks, and story views

Prepare a simple fortnightly performance report with insights and recommendations for the founders

Research and test hashtag strategies, posting times, and content formats to optimize organic reach

Support paid ad campaigns on Instagram and LinkedIn (Meta Ads Manager experience a plus)

Founder & Team Collaboration

Work directly with the founders to shape VarsityX's brand narrative and voice

Attend weekly team syncs to align on upcoming program launches, events, and content priorities

Support outreach to school counselors and educators on LinkedIn with personalized messaging

Contribute ideas across the broader marketing strategy this is a role where your voice matters

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field

Genuine passion for education, social impact, and helping students unlock their potential

Strong personal understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn you use these platforms actively and know what performs well

Excellent written English with a knack for clear, engaging, and on-brand copy

Self-starter mindset you take ownership, meet deadlines, and don't wait to be told what to do

Proficiency in Canva or equivalent design tools for creating polished social graphics

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)

Experience running social media for a brand, startup, school club, or personal page with a real following

Basic video editing skills using CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere, or similar

Familiarity with Instagram Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, or Meta Ads Manager

Interest in AI, edtech, entrepreneurship, or the college admissions space

Experience coordinating webinars, online events, or community activations
