DH Journalism Intern (Gen Z Content Scout & Rewriter) - The Vibe Check
The Core Mission:
Be our ear to the ground, scouting what Gen Z is actually reading and sharing.
Then, rewrite it in a way that makes them stop scrolling and say, OMG, relatable.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Scout: Deep-dive into the DH app daily to spot trending articles that are about to blow up with the 18-35 crowd (think pop culture, mental health hacks, and desi trends).
The Curator: Analyze engagement data to flag 10-15 high-potential stories/week and pitch why they'll go viral on Instagram or Twitter.
The Rewrite Wizard: Turn 5-7 informative but dense articles/week into punchy, social-ready bangers (max 300 words). Make it snappy, emoji-ready, and culturally on-point.
The Brainstormer: Collaborate with the team on trending topics, short-form video hooks, and carousel concepts to amplify stories across platforms. Who You Are (The Must-Haves):
Gen Z Native: You don't just use social media, you get it. Instagram, Reels, Threadsyou know what makes an 18-35-year-old scroll-stop.
Journalism Student: Currently pursuing a degree in journalism or media (2nd/3rd year preferred). Content Chameleon: You can adopt a fresh, relatable, internet voice without sacrificing factual accuracy.
Tool Savvy: Comfortable with data tracking (Excel), content polishing (Grammarly), simple design tools (Canva), and leveraging LLMs to improve output.
