Brand & Communications Lead

Who We Are

ROTORIS is India's first design-led mechanical watch house. We launched on a waitlist, sold out our first drop, and have been building direct-to-consumer from day one — with no compromises on craft, communication, or conviction. Every timepiece is assembled by hand. Every word we put out is deliberate.

We are not a watch company that does marketing. We are a brand that happens to make watches.

The Role

We are looking for a Brand and Communications Lead who will own how ROTORIS shows up — in press, in culture, across every platform, and in every customer interaction. This is a senior, full-ownership role. You will be the brand's second voice after the founders, and the person responsible for making sure that voice never breaks.

You will build things that last: a PR function, a brand consistency system, and a communications philosophy that scales with us as we grow from India's most desirable watch brand to a name that belongs in the same conversation as the world's great independent houses.

What You Will Own

Brand Building and PR

• Develop and execute ROTORIS's earned media strategy across print, digital, and cultural press in India and internationally

• Build and maintain relationships with watch journalists, lifestyle editors, cultural tastemakers, and relevant media houses

• Lead all PR outreach for collection launches, brand moments, and founder-driven stories

• Identify and own brand partnership and collaboration opportunities that extend ROTORIS's cultural reach

• Position ROTORIS at the intersection of horology, design, and Indian identity — in a way that earns respect, not just coverage

Brand Consistency and Communication

• Own the brand voice and ensure it is applied correctly across every touchpoint: website, social, email, packaging copy, press releases, event communications, and partner materials

• Build a brand guidelines system that is practical enough for a fast-moving team to actually use

• Review and sign off on all outward-facing communications before they go live

• Work closely with the design team to ensure visual and verbal identity move together

• Manage agency and freelance relationships with clear briefs and tighter outcomes

Who You Are

You have spent five or more years building brands — not just managing them. You know the difference between a brand that is recognised and one that is felt. You have placed stories in publications that matter, built relationships with media that are durable, and written a brief that a creative team actually got excited about.

You are equally comfortable in a strategy document and a WhatsApp thread with a journalist. You notice when a caption is slightly off-brand before anyone else does. You have opinions about typefaces and the confidence to defend them.

Luxury, premium lifestyle, or design-adjacent categories are your natural habitat. Watch industry experience is a bonus. Genuine curiosity about horology is non-negotiable.
