Social Media Specialist

Experience: 3+ years

Salary: USD 1,000 - 1,350/ month (based on experience)

Expected Notice Period: 2 to 4 Weeks

Shift: (GMT+05:30) Asia/Kolkata (IST)

Opportunity Type: Remote

Placement Type: Contractual

Contract Duration: Full-time, 12 months

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of our Social Media Communication plan and make it better
  • Craft enticing copy and post ideas for all our SM channels
  • Lead our growth on existing and new SM channels
  • Work closely with our graphic designer to ensure the creation of amazing visuals that go along with the copy
  • Master the art of content distribution across various platforms, ensuring our brand's message reaches our target group
  • Stay ahead of the SM trends and alert our team to the latest buzz
  • Engage with the community, participate, and co-host Discord calls and X Spaces
  • Moderate and spark conversations (both on our channels as well as on others)
  • Utilize your analytical prowess to decipher which content strikes gold and advise when it's time to pivot
  • Create videos for IG Reels and TikTok or manage the content creation for those platforms
  • Coordinate working with influencers and agencies, and help with campaign creation for various PPC ads
  • Participate in various workshops held in the department and within the whole product
  • Learn how to leverage Web3 marketing tools such as Zealy, Gleam, Link3, and many more

This Role Requires:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in an IT product (e.g. fintech, crypto, edtech)
  • Portfolio with examples of your work (social media copy, numbers that you achieved, nice to have: graphics and videos)
  • Great writing skills with attention to detail and perfect English
  • The ability to create social-first copy, especially short forms, If you can create short-form video content - it will be a plus
  • Experience in building organic growth on social media platforms like Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, and Discord
  • You should know how to engage with communities, spark discussions, and drive engagement
  • A good understanding of social media marketing and best practices. You should know how to optimize posts, analyze performance metrics, and keep up with the algorithms
