About the Role

Are you a digital native who lives and breathes trends, storytelling, and community building PlayShifu is looking for a Social Media Manager who is as comfortable behind the camera as they are in front of it.

You won't just be posting updates, you will be the face, voice, and pulse of our brand across all social platforms. From conceptualizing viral reels to managing high-stakes production shoots, you will own our social ecosystem and drive the narrative for the future of tech-enabled play.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Channel Ownership: End-to-end management of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X. You are responsible for growth, engagement, and the vibe of each platform.
  • Content Creation & On-Camera Presence: Act as a brand evangelist. You must be comfortable hosting videos, performing in skits, and explaining our products on camera to connect authentically with parents and kids.
  • Production & Shoot Assistance: Work closely with the creative team to assist in the planning, styling, and execution of photo and video shoots. Whether it's directing a child actor or managing lighting on a DIY set, you're in the thick of it.
  • Trend Jacking: Identify emerging trends, memes, and audio within minutes and pivot our content strategy to keep PlayShifu relevant and top of mind.
  • Community Management: Foster a loyal community by engaging in the comments, managing DMs, and collaborating with influencers to amplify our reach.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track performance metrics to understand what's working and why. Use data to refine our strategy and prove ROI to the leadership team.

Who You Are

  • A Natural Performer: You have high energy and a charismatic screen presence.
  • You know how to stop the scroll.
  • A Content Scientist: You understand the algorithms of different platforms and know how to tailor content for each (a Reel is not a TikTok, and a LinkedIn post is not a Caption).
  • A Proactive Creator: You don't wait for a brief. You have a bias for action and can shoot/edit quick-turnaround content on your phone.
  • Deeply Empathetic: You understand the psychology of parents and the curiosity of children, and you can speak to both effectively.
  • Organized & Scrappy: You can manage a content calendar while simultaneously hunting for props for tomorrow's shoot.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2–4 years of experience in Social Media Management (Bonus points if it's in the EdTech, Toy, or Gaming space).
  • A portfolio or social handles showcasing your ability to create engaging video content.
  • Proficiency in mobile editing tools (CapCut, InShot, etc.) and basic knowledge of
  • Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with a knack for wit and brand-aligned humor.
  • Willingness to travel for shoots and events when necessary.
