Role Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Manager Intern (Brand & Growth) who sees social media as a brand-building and growth engine, not just a content posting function. This role involves end-to-end ownership of OGcollege's social media presence from strategy and campaigns to collaborations and performance analysis.

You will work closely with the founding team to identify trends early, build strong brand recall, execute impactful campaigns, and continuously refine strategy based on results. This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience building a real brand from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify emerging trends and memes early and adapt them into brand-aligned, student-friendly content
  • Build and maintain OGcollege's social presence with a brand-first mindset, focusing on trust, clarity and long-term recall
  • Create, execute, analyze and pivot social media strategies based on performance and insights
  • Plan and run social media campaigns around key student moments such as results, counselling and deadlines
  • Develop or guide catchy copy, hooks, and messaging for short-form content and campaigns
  • Research, evaluate and collaborate with right-fit influencers, keeping ROI and audience relevance in mind
  • Conceptualize, pitch and negotiate influencer collaborations, from idea to execution
  • Coordinate with script writers, content creators and video editors to ensure consistency, quality and timelines
  • Track performance metrics and share insights to continuously improve content and campaigns

Qualifications Required

  • Strong understanding of social media trends, memes, and internet culture
  • Ability to think strategically about brand building on social platforms
  • Experience managing or contributing to social media pages for a brand, startup, or creator
  • Strong research, communication, and coordination skills
  • Comfort with ownership, experimentation, and accountability

Good to Have

  • Experience with social media campaigns, ads or performance content
  • Familiarity with analytics, insights and reporting tools
  • Experience with education, student-focused or youth-centric content
