Position: Social Media Manager
Work Location: Lodhi Road, New Delhi
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Planning
- Develop and manage monthly content calendars aligned with academic cycles, events, and outreach goals.
- Coordinate with various departments to source, plan and schedule regular content, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
Platform Management & Publishing (BTL Focus)
- Manage daily social media activities across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.
- Use in-app tools (Stories, Reels, Highlights, Live, Events) to quickly publish engaging content.
- Maintain brand tone and messaging across all digital touchpoints.
Content Coordination & Video Planning
- Brief videographers and designers on content needs for events and campaigns no deep editing required.
- Coordinate publishing of edited videos with appropriate captions, hashtags and tags.
- Capture and post real-time updates during key events using native mobile features.
Community Management & Engagement (BTL)
- Respond to messages, comments, and community queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Interact with students, alumni, faculty, and prospective applicants to build a positive brand image.
- Recognize and amplify user-generated content and campus moments.
Event Promotion & On-the-Ground Buzz (BTL)
- Create pre-, during, and post-event stories, reels and posts to promote university activities, webinars, and student-led initiatives.
- Collaborate with event organizers and student volunteers for live event coverage.
Cross-Team Coordination for ATL Support
- Liaise with the internal digital marketing (ATL) team to align messaging and creative inputs for paid promotions.
- Maintain awareness of campaign themes and assets for seamless organic and paid alignment.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track performance using Instagram Insights, Facebook Meta Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, and YouTube Studio.
- Report monthly on engagement metrics, trends and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Test and adopt new content formats based on emerging social media trends.
Tools & Skills Required
- Working knowledge of: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Google Drive
- Understanding of social media best practices, hashtags, SEO for social, and basic reporting
- Knowledge of social media's role in both ATL (paid campaigns) and BTL (organic engagement, storytelling) university marketing strategies
Requirements
- 24 years of hands-on experience managing social media for a university, youth brand, lifestyle, or non-profit organization
- Strong written communication and content coordination skills
- Agile, proactive, and digitally savvy
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Media or related field preferred
