Social Media Manager

Location- Bengaluru

A science-driven D2C skincare brand focused on solving hyperpigmentation for Indian skin using research-backed formulations.

About the Role

Turns out spending hours on social media wasn't a waste of time, it was prep. If you've ever caught yourself reworking a brand's campaign in your head, already hopped on a trend before it has a name, and naturally think in content formats, then this one's for you.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can own their social presence end-to-end. Someone who thinks in strategy, writes with purpose, and understands what it takes to build a brand that people genuinely love and follow. This is a brand-building role. You will be the voice of their brand across platforms, working closely with the founder, the brand team, and their design partners to bring the brand to life every day.

Key Responsibilities

STRATEGY & BRAND VOICE

1) Own and evolve brand's social media strategy across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and emerging platforms

2) Define and maintain a consistent brand voice, one that is confident, informed, and deeply human

3) Identify trends, cultural moments, and platform shifts early, and know when to act and when to stay on-brand

4) Build platform-specific strategies that drive community, reach, and conversion

COPY, CONTENT PILLARS & CALENDAR

1) Develop and own brand's campaigns and content pillars

2) Build and manage a monthly content calendar (planned, reviewed, and executed on time, every time)

3) Balance planned content with reactive, real-time content without losing brand integrity

4) Manage content across formats: Reels, carousels, stories, static posts, and long-form video

5) Write all social copy, captions, hooks, CTAs, story scripts, and video briefs

6) Write briefs for the design team that are clear, specific, and creatively inspiring

DESIGN & EDIT CO-ORDINATION

1) Work closely with our in-house designers, videographer and editor to produce content that is visually sharp and on-brand

2) Communicate creative direction clearly: moodboards, references, feedback, and revisions

3) Maintain consistency across all touchpoints — feed aesthetics, story templates, highlight covers, and campaign assets

COMMUNITY & ENGAGEMENT

1) Actively manage comments, DMs, and community engagement. Brand's community is not a number; it is a relationship

2) Identify and engage with brand advocates, creators, and loyal customers

3) Surface community insights and feedback to the brand and product teams

ANALYTICS & REPORTING

1) Track and report on key metrics weekly and monthly: reach, engagement, follower growth, saves, shares, and link clicks

2) Use data to inform decisions (what is working, what needs to be cut, and what needs to be doubled down on)

3) Benchmark performance against the category and identify opportunities

What We're Looking For

2-5 years of experience managing social media for a consumer brand, preferably D2C or beauty/lifestyle

Strong writing skills. You can write a caption that stops a scroll and a brief that excites a designer

Deep understanding of Instagram and short-form video as platforms, knowing basic editing on InShot and other apps is a bonus

Ability to think strategically and execute operationally. You are as comfortable in a strategy session as you are scheduling posts

High aesthetic sensibility, you know what looks good and why

Organised, self-driven, and comfortable owning a function with minimal hand-holding

Genuine interest in skincare, wellness, or beauty is a strong plus
