Job Description

Overall Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a creative and result-oriented Social Media Manager to lead and strengthen the

digital presence of the Institution across all relevant social media platforms. The role is responsible for

planning and executing platform-wise content strategies, building audience engagement, promoting

academic programs and campus initiatives, and enhancing the institution's brand visibility among

students, alumni, recruiters, and other stakeholders.

The individual will work closely with internal teams such as marketing, admissions, student affairs,

faculty, content, design, and external agencies to ensure impactful storytelling and consistent brand

communication.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and executing the social media strategy for the Institution,

ensuring strong brand presence, audience engagement, and measurable growth across platforms.

Specifically, the Key Result Areas include:

● Strategize, plan, and execute creative social media campaigns for the Institution across

platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and other relevant channels.

● Create and manage the monthly and quarterly social media content calendar aligned with

institutional priorities, admissions cycle, events, student life, placements, and employer

branding goals.

● Coordinate with content writers, graphic designers, video editors, photographers, and other

stakeholders for timely and quality content delivery.

● Develop audience-specific content ideas for students, aspirants, alumni, recruiters, faculty, and

industry partners.

● Write and review engaging social media copies, captions, campaign messaging, and content

hooks that improve reach and engagement.

● Monitor current social media trends, competitor benchmarks, higher education trends, and

relevant hashtags to keep the institution's presence fresh and relatable.

● Build and grow the institution's online community through creative campaigns, engagement

initiatives, and consistent storytelling.

● Track platform performance through analytics and prepare regular reports on reach,

engagement, follower growth, leads, and campaign effectiveness.

● Suggest improvements based on data insights and audience behaviour to improve campaign

outcomes.

● Ensure all content is aligned with the brand tone, institutional values, and communication

guidelines.

● Stay updated with latest digital tools, AI-enabled content workflows, social media algorithms,

and platform updates.

Experience

4–6 years of relevant experience in social media management, digital marketing, or brand

communication, preferably in education, media, or service industry.

Desired Skills

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Strong content planning and copywriting ability

● Proven experience in managing institutional or brand social media pages

● Hands-on experience with social media management tools and analytics dashboards

● Good understanding of SEO, keyword research, social listening, and paid campaigns

● Knowledge of online marketing channels and audience targeting

● Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills

● Basic understanding of design and video content workflows

● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

● Ability to manage multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube

● Creative thinking with strong attention to trends and audience preferences

Educational Qualification

Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Digital Marketing, or

relevant field
