We are building a video-first Instagram presence and are looking for someone who understands culture, trends, and attention - not just posting calendars.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Junior Social Media Manager who lives and breathes Instagram. Someone who understands how Gen Z & Millennials consume content, spots trends early, and can translate them into on-brand, scroll-stopping reels.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Thinks in videos, hooks, and formats
- Experiments fast
- Understands engagement beyond likes (saves, shares, comments, watch time)
Key Responsibilities
Content & Instagram Strategy
- Own Instagram-first content execution (Reels > Stories > Carousels)
- Ideate and execute video-led content aligned with Mood Society's brand voice
- Spot trends early (audio, formats, creator styles) and adapt them creatively
- Think beyond templates create original formats and series
Social Calendar & Execution
- Build and manage weekly & monthly content calendars
- Balance: Product-led content, Lifestyle & culture content, Trend-based content
- Coordinate with internal teams for product drops, launches, and campaigns
Engagement & Community
- Drive meaningful engagement (comments, saves, shares, DMs)
- Actively monitor comments, DMs, and community interactions
- Understand what content performs and why
Tools & AI Usage
- Use video editing apps/tools (CapCut, InShot, VN, Premiere Rush, etc.)
- Leverage AI tools for: Ideation, Captions & Content experimentation
- Comfortable working with fast iterations and test-and-learn formats
What We're Looking For
Must-Have/s
- Strong understanding of Instagram trends & culture
- Video-first mindset (Reels focused)
- Basic to intermediate video editing skills
- Clear Gen Z sensibility and aesthetic awareness
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools & creator apps
- Good eye for composition, pacing, and hooks
Good to Have
- Prior experience with a D2C / lifestyle / content brand
- On-camera comfort (optional but a plus)
- Understanding of Instagram analytics & insights
- Familiarity with UGC-style content

02 years of experience, Freshers with strong portfolios / Instagram work are welcome
