Key Responsibilities
Key role in managing and enhancing the organization's digital presence across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Facebook. The role involves creative content creation, curating user-generated content, social media analytics, online reputation management, campaigns, and supporting influencer and stakeholder-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, analytical thinking, and an understanding of social media trendsparticularly within government, public services, or agency environments.
Content Development & Visual Storytelling
- Plan and execute a content and editorial calendar for social media platforms aligned with organizational campaigns and topical trends.
- Collaborate with agencies and design teams for visually appealing content that reflects brand identity.
- Support high-impact campaigns around key events, milestones, and special occasions.
- Develop high-quality, engaging posts - graphics (infographics, gifs, carousels, and stories) and short-form videos (e.g., interviews, explainers, campaign stories, UGCcompilations).
Community & Influencer Engagement
- Community Management & Engagement through comments, DMs, mentions etc
- Develop and implement a sustainable influencer marketing strategy to expand reach and credibility.
- Identify and nurture brand advocates, community contributors, and superusers.
- Curate and integrate user-generated content (photos, testimonials, videos) across platforms.
- Optimize YouTube videos for SEO (titles, tags, thumbnails, descriptions) to maximize visibility and audience retention.
Content Moderation & Brand Governance
- Review and moderate all user-generated content (text, images, videos) to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and community standards.
- Identify and escalate inappropriate, offensive, or potentially harmful content promptly.
- Maintain documentation and logs of moderation activities and campaign content.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency across all digital content in line with brand policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams and agencies to align content with organizational priorities.
- Support internal stakeholders in creating ad hoc social media posts and executing special digital initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging tools, and evolving best practices in digital communication.
Social Media Management & Analytics
- Track, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using social media analytics tools.
- Generate periodic reports on engagement, reach, conversions, and other key metrics.
- Use insights to optimize content strategy, posting schedules, and audience targeting.
- Manage all online comments, messages, and mentions across platforms to ensure prompt and appropriate responses.
- Conduct regular social listening to identify trends, sentiment, and emerging conversations around the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- 24 years of relevant experience in social media management, preferably in an agency or government/public sector setup.
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and engagement best practices.
- Proficiency in tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva, YouTube Studio, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Creative thinker with a knack for spotting and building on social media trends.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for accuracy and brand consistency.
- Prior experience managing official social media pages for government accounts is an advantage.
