Job Description:
Republic Digital is looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Editor / Digital Content Producer to lead and execute our content strategy across digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong background in journalism, digital storytelling, and social media management, with a proven track record of creating engaging content for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement content strategies for platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
- Create, curate, edit, and schedule multimedia content aligned with brand voice and target audience
- Collaborate with editorial, video, and design teams to produce engaging and visually compelling content
- Analyze social media performance using analytics tools and adjust strategy for maximum reach and impact
- Stay updated with evolving digital trends, platform changes, and audience behavior
- Oversee live coverage of news and trending stories
- Innovate and experiment with content formats to drive growth
Key Qualifications:
- 26 years of experience in digital journalism, social media editing, or content production
- Background in top media houses is a strong advantage
- Strong skills in editing, proofreading, and digital storytelling
- Experience with social media tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, or Crowdtangle
- Proven ability to lead content on high-engagement platforms like Instagram and YouTube
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field
