The Opportunity
We're hiring a Social Media Copywriter to own all short-form script writing across TikTok and Instagram for multiple tech brands. This is a high-volume role inside a fast-growing startup. You will write 30–80 short scripts per day (each script is equivalent to video content of 8–30 seconds), working closely with a Campaign Manager to analyse performance, identify winning hooks, and iterate daily based on results.
What You'll Do:
- Write high-performing TikTok & Instagram scripts at scale
- Identify winning ad concepts, hooks, and content frameworks
- Repurpose and adapt successful formats across brands
- Use trends, pop culture, and platform + competitor research to develop fresh angles
- Review daily performance data with the Campaign Manager and iterate accordingly
- Contribute to community engagement (commenting, social listening, creator outreach, etc.)
- Pitch ideas proactively and support other creative and strategic needs across the company
Who You Are
- Chronically online and deeply fluent in internet language
- Avid consumer of TikTok, Reels, pop culture, and trends (especially US-based content)
- Strong instinct for hooks, pacing, and short-form storytelling
- Ideally a creator yourself or someone who has made social content
- Comfortable writing at high speed and high volume without losing sharpness and wittiness
- Performance-minded: you care about what converts, not just what sounds clever
- Energized by startup environments and willing to jump in wherever needed

Must-Have Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience in social media copywriting, short-form content strategy, performance marketing creative, or as an active content creator on TikTok/Instagram
- Proven ability to write high-performing short-form scripts (hooks, retention loops, strong CTAs)
- Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram content mechanics (hook rate, watch time, retention, trend velocity)
- Strong instinct for identifying winning content frameworks and repurposing them across brands
- Comfortable working from performance data and iterating quickly
- Strong research skills (trend spotting, competitor analysis, concept mining)
- Clear, concise written communication and ability to take feedback fast
