We're building a simulation / strategy game at DeepSim, and as we move closer to completion, we're looking for a Social Media & Community Intern to help us document and share our journey in a thoughtful, controlled way.
This is not a generic marketing role.
It's ideal for someone curious about game development, indie studios, and building products in public.
Role Overview
As a Social Media & Community Intern, you'll work closely with the founders to:
- Convert approved development updates into social posts
- Help maintain a consistent presence on platforms like LinkedIn / X (Twitter)
- Assist in organizing content, visuals, and basic engagement tracking
- Support early community-building efforts (no spam, no hype)
All content will be reviewed and approved before publishing.
What You'll Do
- Draft social posts based on shared inputs (dev notes, screenshots, progress updates)
- Format posts, visuals, and short clips (from provided material)
- Schedule posts and track basic engagement
- Collect feedback and signal interest from the community
What You Won't Do
- No independent storytelling or lore creation
- No spoilers or roadmap promises
- No ads or paid promotions
- No posting without approval
Who Should Apply
- Students or recent graduates
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, Design, or a related field
- Students pursuing mandatory college internships are welcome
- Interest in games, startups, or product building
- Comfortable with LinkedIn / X / basic content tools
- Good written communication
- Willing to work with clear guidelines and feedback
Prior marketing experience is not mandatory.
Internship Details
Duration: 3 months
Time Commitment: 12 hours per day (8-10 hours per week)
Mode: Remote
Compensation: Internship + performance-based bonus
