Job Description

We're building a simulation / strategy game at DeepSim, and as we move closer to completion, we're looking for a Social Media & Community Intern to help us document and share our journey in a thoughtful, controlled way.

This is not a generic marketing role.

It's ideal for someone curious about game development, indie studios, and building products in public.

Role Overview

As a Social Media & Community Intern, you'll work closely with the founders to:

  • Convert approved development updates into social posts
  • Help maintain a consistent presence on platforms like LinkedIn / X (Twitter)
  • Assist in organizing content, visuals, and basic engagement tracking
  • Support early community-building efforts (no spam, no hype)

All content will be reviewed and approved before publishing.

What You'll Do

  • Draft social posts based on shared inputs (dev notes, screenshots, progress updates)
  • Format posts, visuals, and short clips (from provided material)
  • Schedule posts and track basic engagement
  • Collect feedback and signal interest from the community

What You Won't Do

  • No independent storytelling or lore creation
  • No spoilers or roadmap promises
  • No ads or paid promotions
  • No posting without approval

Who Should Apply

  • Students or recent graduates
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, Design, or a related field
  • Students pursuing mandatory college internships are welcome
  • Interest in games, startups, or product building
  • Comfortable with LinkedIn / X / basic content tools
  • Good written communication
  • Willing to work with clear guidelines and feedback

Prior marketing experience is not mandatory.
