Snr Accountant- US

Role & responsibilities

Keeping senior informed and providing regular financial reports and updates on clients, including financial statements, and other performance metrics. Maintaining open lines of communication to understand the needs and concerns.

• Responsible for month end close, quarter close and preparation of financial statements for D2C business.
• Ensures that accounting policies are applied consistent with corporate accounting policies and internal control guidelines.
• Coordinates tax reporting requirements. Works with external tax accountants to file federal, state, sales, and property tax returns.
• Coordinate with Corporate for internal audit and outside auditors for external audit.
• Ensures that accounting records and reports are following GAAP and IFRS for audits.
• Other additional projects as the company grows
• Be able to work cross-functionally & independently, with minimal supervision and be responsive to needs of the business
• Manage accounting department day to day operations AR, AP, FA, payroll and inventory. In charge of payment, collection, invoicing, etc etc.
• Prepare Royalty calculation based on contract.
• Manage State sales tax filing in Avalara

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of the accounting software applications such as QBO, Business Central and E-commerce work experience with Shopify, amazon, E-bay etc..
• Good communication skills are required to provide comfort to clients.
• Proficient knowledge of the English language (read, write, and speak).
• Working experience of 4-6 years as a US accountant in professional services firm.
• Working knowledge in accounting issues and accounting standards (including US GAAP/IFRS) as applicable.
• Working practical knowledge of Payroll Tax & Sales & Use Tax as applicable.
• Should be available till 9 AM PST including flexi hrs during the day.
• Preferable: CA with experience working in multi-national organization and constantly changing environment.
