Job Description

A Snowflake Developer specializes in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions using the Snowflake Data Cloud platform. This role involves leveraging Snowflake's unique architecture to build scalable, efficient, and secure data pipelines and storage solutions that support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and implement data models and schemas tailored for Snowflake, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
ETL/ELT Development: Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune Snowflake environments, optimizing queries and data storage for performance and cost-efficiency.
Data Security & Governance: Implement security measures, including role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, and encryption, to protect sensitive information within Snowflake.
Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate data models.
Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, ETL processes, and system configurations.
Essential Skills
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake-specific SQL extensions.
Experience with Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, tasks, and streams.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration techniques.
Experience with data modeling and performance tuning in Snowflake.
