Description
Snapmint is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in Web and Backend testing. This role involves ensuring product quality through comprehensive functional, API, frontend, and backend testing. The ideal candidate will play a key role in validating system functionality, identifying defects early, and ensuring reliable product releases in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Roles And Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform manual testing across Web and Backend systems, ensuring functional accuracy and system reliability
- Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman, validating HTTP methods, request/response handling, and status codes
- Conduct frontend and backend testing, including UI validation and database integrity checks
- Design, create, and maintain test cases, test plans, test scenarios, and test documentation
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and execution cycles
- Validate backend systems using SQL queries for database testing and data validation
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or similar defect tracking systems
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure quality across the SDLC
- Participate actively in Agile / Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Perform API testing for RESTful services, ensuring integration reliability and performance
- Support automation testing initiatives and CI/CD pipelines where applicable
- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving QA processes
Education & Experience
- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, MCA, or related field
- 3 -5 years of experience in QA, preferably in product-based or fintech environments
