Job Purpose
To supervise day-to-day construction activities at site for assigned work areas in residential projects, ensuring work execution as per instructions, drawings explained by engineers, quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities related to civil, finishing, and allied construction works.
- Ensure that work is carried out as per instructions received from engineers and project seniors.
- Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship during execution.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, masons, carpenters, bar benders, helpers, and other labor teams.
- Monitor daily manpower deployment, material usage, and availability of tools and equipment.
- Follow up for timely availability of required materials at site.
- Ensure proper use of materials and reduce wastage at site.
- Maintain daily work progress records and report work status to seniors.
- Inform seniors immediately about delays, quality issues, shortage of manpower/materials, or site difficulties.
- Assist engineers in taking measurements and checking completed work.
- Supervise shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, painting, and finishing works as per instructions.
- Coordinate with MEP, plumbing, electrical, and other site teams to avoid rework and clashes.
- Ensure safety practices, housekeeping, and labor discipline at site.
- Attend site coordination meetings as required and implement instructions given by management.
Qualification
- Minimum 12th Std. pass or above.
- ITI / vocational / non-engineering construction-related qualification will be an added advantage.
- Civil engineering qualification is not mandatory.
Experience
Experience: 8 to 12 years
- Experience in residential building projects is required.
- Experience in high-rise residential or township projects will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of civil construction and finishing activities.
- Ability to understand basic drawings with guidance from engineers.
- Good experience in handling contractors and labor teams.
- Knowledge of line, level, alignment, and workmanship checking.
- Knowledge of site safety, housekeeping, and quality practices.
- Ability to monitor daily progress and report clearly to seniors.
- Basic record-keeping ability.
- Basic mobile/email/WhatsApp communication skills preferred.

- Daily work progress achieved as per target.
- Quality of workmanship and reduction in rework.
- Proper manpower and material utilization.
- Timely reporting of site issues to seniors.
- Safety and housekeeping compliance in assigned areas.
