Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing construction personnel and delegating tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Performing regular inspections of the construction site to ensure work is progressing smoothly.
  • Identifying potential safety hazards on-site and managing them effectively.
  • Ensuring all personnel comply with health and safety practices, such as wearing appropriate protective equipment.
  • Organizing work schedules for the construction team.
  • Checking work techniques to ensure they are correct and safe.
  • Managing orders and deliveries of building materials to maintain project timelines.
  • Assisting project managers with planning and coordinating work activities.
  • Completing site reports and maintaining other essential records.
  • Attending site management meetings to stay aligned with project goals and updates.

Working Environment:

  • Site supervisors work primarily in outdoor construction sites, which means exposure to various weather conditions.
  • The role may involve working at heights, and a full driving license is typically required as it involves traveling between worksites, client businesses, and meetings with key stakeholders.

Site Supervisor Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of building and construction methods.
  • Experience in manufacturing production and processes.
  • Knowledge of construction regulations and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to interpret building plans and blueprints.
  • Problem-solving abilities to overcome on-site challenges.
