Role Overview:
The Sr Manager Design & Technical Services is the single-point technical authority for the company.
The role will focus on accelerating deal conversion, de-risk projects, protecting brand integrity and compliance, and ensuring on-time, on-standard openings. This position partners closely with the Business Development team to interact with Owners, Consultants, and Internal Stakeholders, driving projects from lead evaluation to opening handover.
The points mentioned below would be the key responsibilities for the role:
1. Pre-Signing Technical Due Diligence & Deal Support
- Act as TLE's technical face in pre-signing visits and discussions with Owners and consultants.
- Conduct rapid yet rigorous technical feasibility assessments, covering:
o Site suitability, zoning, FSI, setbacks, access, encumbrance risks
o Existing building adaptability or development feasibility
o High-level CAPEX benchmarking and phasing risks
o Brand fit across TLE's portfolio
- Enable deal decisions through Technical Feasibility / Brand Suitability Reports as well as gap reports for deal / MoU signings. Identify deal-breakers early, and propose workable technical solutions and schedules to retain momentum
2. Post-Signing Project Governance & Owner Interface
- Serve as the single point of contact for Owners on all design and technical matters
- Establish clear project governance structures, including milestone plans, design review gates and reporting cadence
- Chair structured milestone reviews at concept, schematic, detailed design, construction, and pre-opening stages
- Proactively flag risks impacting cost, timelines, safety, or brand compliance, and drive corrective actions
3. Design & Brand Standards Stewardship
- Ensure consistent application of our brand standards, while allowing contextual flexibility for brownfield and conversion opportunities as well as heritage assets
- Review and approve master planning and architectural layouts, BOH planning and operational flows,
- Interior design intent in collaboration with Brand and operations teams, and FF&E and OS&E technical specifications
- Evaluate and process waivers, balancing brand integrity with commercial reality
What We are Looking For
- 1215 years of progressive experience in hospitality design, construction, or technical services
- Proven exposure to asset-light hotel development, including conversions and brownfield projects
- Strong understanding of Indian regulatory environments across multiple states
