Job Description
Position: Site Engineer
Role Objective
The Site Engineer will be responsible for on-site execution, supervision, and quality control of solar EPC projects, ensuring timely delivery in line with approved designs, safety standards, and SunShell Power's execution protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and execute installation activities for solar projects (rooftop and ground-mounted).
2. Coordinate with EPC teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth site operations.
3. Ensure execution strictly as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
4. Monitor civil, structural, and electrical works related to solar installations.
5. Enforce site safety standards and SunShell Power's quality and compliance protocols.
6. Conduct regular site inspections, measurements, and progress tracking.
7. Identify and resolve on-site technical issues; escalate critical matters to the Project Manager on time.
8. Maintain daily site reports, material consumption records, and manpower logs.
9. Coordinate with design and procurement teams for drawings, BOQs, and timely material availability.
10. Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
11. Liaise with clients, inspectors, and local authorities as required at site level.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
1. Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
2. Prior experience in solar EPC projects preferred.
3. Working knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems
- Modules, inverters, mounting structures, and DC/AC cabling
- Electrical systems, earthings, and safety norms
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts.
5. Strong coordination and on-site communication skills.
6. Willingness to travel and work at multiple project locations.
7. Basic proficiency in MS Excel and site reporting tools.
