Role Description The Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for supervising daily construction activities and ensuring that work is executed according to design, quality, and safety standards. This role oversees contractors and site teams, coordinates with architects, structural and MEP consultants, and reports on progress, issues, and resource needs. The Site Engineer reviews drawings and specifications, checks measurements and levels, and monitors materials, workmanship, and installation quality throughout the project. The position involves conducting site inspections, maintaining site records and documentation, preparing daily/weekly progress reports, and supporting planning and scheduling to meet project timelines. The Site Engineer also helps implement safety protocols, resolves site-related technical queries, and supports continuous improvement in construction practices.

Qualifications

• Strong on-site supervision capabilities with hands-on experience managing construction activities and site teams.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Candidates should have strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel and be able to use both efficiently.
• Solid understanding of quality control processes, site inspections, and compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, ideally with experience collaborating closely with Civil Engineers and Structural Engineering consultants.
• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings; familiarity with construction methodologies and materials.
• Experience with project documentation, reporting, and basic project planning tools; exposure to luxury or high-end residential/commercial projects is an advantage.
• Ability to work full time on-site in Chennai, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high standards of professionalism, safety, and integrity.
