Overview:

As a Site Engineer at BuiltX SDC, you'll be the technical backbone on our non-profit buildstranslating designs into safe, high-quality construction on campus and community projects around Patna. You'll coordinate daily on-site execution, enforce quality & safety, manage materials and labor, and liaise with stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and budget while upholding our sustainability ethos.

Key Responsibilities:

1 | Site Execution & Supervision

• Interpret drawings, specifications and work orders into daily task plans.
• Supervise foremen, skilled labor and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality, schedule and safety standards.

2 | Quality Control & Safety

• Conduct routine inspections; document non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Enforce site safety protocols (PPE, scaffolding, formwork checks) per Indian norms.

3 | Materials & Resource Management

• Verify deliveries against specs, manage on-site inventory and minimize wastage.
• Coordinate closely with procurement to ensure timely sourcing of local, sustainable materials.

4 | Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with local authorities, NGO partners and community representatives for clearances and community updates.
• Communicate effectively in English/Hindi with project teams, suppliers and external stakeholders.

5 | Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily site diaries, progress photographs and as-built markups.
• Provide concise weekly status summaries to the Project Engineer highlighting progress, risks and resource needs.

Candidate Profile:

Must-Have

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology or related field.
• 35 years of on-site experience in building construction projects in India.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit or similar CAD tools.
• Solid understanding of Indian building codes, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Fluent in English and Hindi; comfortable engaging with local labor teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Certifications: Site Safety (IOSH/NEBOSH), PMP or relevant short courses.
• Experience on healthcare or educational campus projects.
• Knowledge of green-building practices and biophilic design principles.

Soft Skills: strong organizational ability, problem-solving mindset, clear communicator, and a collaborative approach under deadline pressure.
