Job Description

Project Role : Silicon Firmware & Embedded Engineer

Project Role Description : Write the software that powers and operates a silicon chip. Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with a direct interface to hardware. Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flow. Perform design and code reviews. Test and validate product implementations.

Must have skills : Embedded C++

Good to have skills : NA

Minimum 2 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required

Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education

Summary:

As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves writing and developing software that directly controls and operates silicon chips. This role includes creating firmware before the silicon is finalized, ensuring seamless interaction between software and hardware components. The engineer integrates and develops tests and application programming interfaces to support software build processes. Daily activities also encompass reviewing design and code to maintain quality standards, as well as testing and validating product implementations to ensure functionality and reliability within the system.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
  • Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
  • Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align firmware development with hardware specifications.
  • Document technical designs and test results to support knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding embedded systems.
  • Continuously update and improve firmware based on testing feedback and evolving project requirements.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C++.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and hardware-software integration.
  • Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded firmware.
  • Familiarity with software build systems and version control tools.
  • Ability to perform thorough code reviews and maintain coding standards.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and validation processes for embedded software.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Embedded C++.
  • This position is based at our BDC7C - SEZ office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
