Shopify Tech Lead

As part of our Tech Operations team, we are looking for a Senior Shopify Tech Lead who will own Shopify-based solutions end-to-end, drive scalable architecture, and lead complex ecommerce implementations aligned with performance marketing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Shopify architecture, development, and optimization for high-scale ecommerce projects

• Own custom Shopify theme development using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

• Build and manage custom Shopify apps, third-party integrations, and API-based solutions

• Act as the technical lead for Shopify initiatives design, code review, deployment, and optimization

• Collaborate closely with performance marketing, affiliate, and product teams to enable growth-driven ecommerce features

• Ensure site performance, security, scalability, and SEO best practices

• Troubleshoot complex Shopify issues, including checkout, payments, apps, and integrations

• Stay updated with Shopify platform updates, tools, and ecosystem trends

• Mentor junior developers and set coding standards & best practices
  
  

  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience

• Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, custom themes, and storefront architecture

• Proven experience as a Shopify Tech Lead / Senior Shopify Developer

• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, custom app development, and integrations

• Experience with performance optimization, CRO, and analytics integration

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and deployment best practices

• Experience working with high-traffic ecommerce platforms is a plus

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex technical discussions
