Shopify Tech Lead

vCommission is expanding its eCommerce technology capabilities, and we are hiring a Senior Shopify Tech Lead to own and drive all Shopify and Shopify Plus development.

This role offers direct collaboration with the Founder, giving you the opportunity to influence the Shopify tech vision, architect scalable solutions, and lead a high-performing development team.

We are looking for a doer, a builder, and a problem-solver someone who can turn ideas into execution with speed, precision, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Shopify & Shopify Plus technical roadmap in close partnership with the Founder.

• Architect high-performance, scalable Shopify stores with a strong focus on speed, UI/UX, and stability.

• Manage, mentor, and guide the Shopify development team; review code and enforce best practices.

• Build custom themes, private apps, advanced integrations, automation flows, and middleware solutions.

• Implement automation workflows for operational efficiency and enhanced store performance.

• Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated technical issues efficiently.

• Ensure best-in-class standards for code quality, security, documentation, and performance tuning.

  
  
  

• 7+ years of core Shopify/Shopify Plus development experience, with strong hands-on expertise.

• Deep knowledge of Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, APIs, Webhooks, and custom Shopify app development.

• Proven experience leading technical teams and handling end-to-end project delivery.

• Strong understanding of eCommerce integrations (payment gateways, CRMs, logistics, marketing automation, analytics, etc.).

• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization skills.

• Ability to work directly with the Founder to execute fast-moving business and tech priorities
