About The Role
We are looking for an experienced
Shopify Developer to take ownership of our e-commerce website development, customization, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building and managing
Shopify/Shopify 2.0 stores, with strong knowledge of theme customization, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify apps, integrations, and website performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites.
- Customize Shopify 2.0 themes, sections, templates, product pages, collection pages, cart, and landing pages.
- Work extensively with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Integrate and manage Shopify apps for payments, shipping, reviews, WhatsApp, CRM, analytics, marketing, etc.
- Handle Shopify API and third-party integrations wherever required.
- Optimize website speed, responsiveness, and overall performance.
- Ensure the website is fully responsive across desktop, mobile, and tablet.
- Improve website UI/UX and customer shopping journey to support better conversions.
- Manage product collections, navigation, filters, banners, offers, discounts, and other storefront elements.
- Identify and fix website bugs, technical issues, and integration-related problems.
- Implement basic technical SEO and ensure SEO-friendly website structure.
- Set up and maintain Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Meta Pixel and other tracking tools.
- Coordinate with the marketing/content/design team for website updates and campaigns.
- Conduct testing before launching new features or changes.
- Monitor website performance and suggest improvements based on e-commerce data.
- Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for the Shopify store.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify development.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify 2.0 and Liquid.
- Good command of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with Shopify theme customization and custom sections.
- Experience with Shopify App Store integrations.
- Understanding of payment gateway and shipping integrations.
- Knowledge of Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of website speed and performance optimization.
- Good understanding of e-commerce UI/UX and conversion optimization.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and tracking tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage Shopify website development and updates.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with D2C / e-commerce brands.
- Experience in building high-converting Shopify stores.
- Knowledge of CRO and customer journey optimization.
- Experience with Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Knowledge of Git / version control.
- Experience with Shopify Plus is an added advantage.
- Experience working with large product catalogs is a plus.
What We Are Looking For
We are
not looking for someone who only installs Shopify themes or apps. The candidate should be capable of understanding business requirements, making custom code-level changes, solving technical issues, and independently managing the Shopify website.
Candidates with a strong portfolio of
live Shopify e-commerce websites will be preferred.
Preferred Location: Haridwar. Candidates willing to relocate to Haridwar may also be considered.
