Role Overview

You will be responsible for building, customizing, and optimizing our Shopify storefront. You will work closely with Marketing, Creative, and Operations teams to create pixel-perfect user experiences, implement technical enhancements, and integrate apps that drive growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Integrate, test, and troubleshoot third-party Shopify apps and APIs

Optimize site performance, speed, and SEO fundamentals

Build new page templates, custom sections, and reusable components

Develop and maintain Python scripts for marketing automations, reporting, or operational tasks

Collaborate with Marketing/Creative for UI/UX improvements and A/B test implementation

Implement pixel tracking, event setups, and performance analytics as required

Maintain technical documentation, version control, and backup systems

Stay updated with Shopify platform updates, app ecosystem, and industry best practices

What You Bring

Must-Haves:

1 year of hands-on Shopify development experience (custom Liquid coding)

Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

Practical experience with Python scripting for automations and reporting tasks

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Shopify theme issues independently

Experience working with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations

Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Attention to detail and ability to translate designs into clean, high-performing pages

Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify

Nice-to-Haves:

Familiarity with marketing automation tools and scripting (Interakt, Mechanic, Zapier, etc.)

Familiarity with Git version control

Basic understanding of UX/UI principles

Experience with headless CMS or Shopify Hydrogen is a bonus

Understanding of analytics event tracking (GA4, Meta Pixel, etc.)

Success Metrics:

Site uptime and performance optimization (load times under target thresholds)

Successful development and deployment of automation scripts (Python)

Improved operational efficiency through scripted solutions

Decrease in technical support tickets related to front-end issues

Timely rollout of site updates and feature releases

Contribution to improved site conversion rates via technical enhancements
