We are looking for an experiencedShopify Apps Developerto build and scale a custom private application similar to advanced AI-powered search and filtering solutions (like Sobooster). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Shopify app development, backend systems, and building high-performance search and merchandising tools for e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customShopify apps(private & public apps)
- Build advancedsearch, filtering, and product recommendation systems
- Design scalable backend architecture for handling large product catalogs
- Integrate Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API, Webhooks)
- ImplementAI-based or rule-based product ranking and merchandising
- Optimize app performance, speed, and scalability
- Work onElasticsearch / Algolia / custom search engines
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams for seamless UX
- Ensure secure authentication (OAuth) and data handling
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 45 years of experience inShopify app development
- Strong knowledge ofNode.js / Python / PHP(any backend stack)
- Experience withShopify Polaris & App Bridge
- Hands-on experience withREST & GraphQL APIs
- Experience withsearch technologies(Elasticsearch, Algolia, etc.)
- Understanding ofweb performance optimization
- Familiarity withAWS / cloud services
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
