Shift Supervisor - Production

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations during assigned shifts.
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timelines.
• Monitor workflow, machine performance, and raw material availability.

Team Supervision

• Lead a team of operators, technicians, and helpers on the shop floor.
• Allocate tasks and provide technical support and guidance.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure production processes comply with SOPs, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Report and address deviations or non-conformities immediately.
• Support in implementing quality checks and inspections during production.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Enforce safety rules and ensure use of PPE and safe work practices.
• Conduct safety toolbox talks and report near misses or incidents.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and ensure 5S standards.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain shift production records, logbooks, downtime reports, and other documentation.
• Report shift performance, issues, and maintenance needs to the Production Manager.
• Participate in daily production and review meetings.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• Training in Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma is a plus

Experience:

• 37 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably with supervisory or team lead responsibilities
• Familiarity with production lines, assembly processes, or machining operations

• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
• Sound knowledge of production equipment and processes
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
• Basic understanding of quality systems and safety regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, or production management systems
