Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shift Engineer at AM/NS India, based in Surat. The Shift Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing plant operations during shifts, ensuring smooth functioning, monitoring equipment performance, addressing mechanical or technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role involves coordinating with different teams to meet production targets, analyzing operational data, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. The candidate will also ensure adherence to company protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Technical skills in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, process control, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with team members and other departments effectively.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify, assess, and resolve operational issues efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control processes.
  • Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Relevant hands-on experience in shift management or plant operations, preferably within the steel or manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
