Role Description This is a full-time, remote SFMC QA (Marketing Cloud) role on a 6-month contract. The SFMC QA specialist will be responsible for validating Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys, email campaigns, and automations, including testing segmentation, personalization, dynamic content, and send configurations. Day-to-day work includes creating and executing test plans and test cases, performing functional, regression, cross-browser, and device testing, and verifying data flows and integrations across CRM and MarTech systems. The role also involves documenting defects, collaborating with marketing operations, developers, and campaign managers to resolve issues, and ensuring campaigns comply with deliverability, privacy, and brand standards. The SFMC QA specialist will contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test documentation, and quality metrics for marketing programs.
Qualifications
  • Strong Quality Assurance skills, including designing test plans, test cases, and regression suites for marketing journeys and campaigns.
  • Experience with Quality Control activities such as validating email content, links, tracking, rendering, and data accuracy before launch.
  • Background in Quality Management practices, including maintaining test documentation, metrics, and standardized QA processes for marketing operations.
  • Exposure to Quality Auditing, such as reviewing campaigns, workflows, and configurations for compliance with internal standards and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio); familiarity with AMPscript and SQL is an advantage.
  • Understanding of data flows between CRM and marketing platforms, including list management, segmentation, and subscriber lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals, deliverability best practices, and privacy regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) relevant to email marketing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
