Setter / Junior Engineer / NPD Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Setter / Junior Engineer / NPD Engineer located in Bengaluru. The role involves setting up and operating machinery, maintaining equipment, and ensuring product quality through rigorous inspection and testing. The Junior Engineer / NPD Engineer will also be responsible for assisting in the design and development of new products, conducting feasibility studies, and implementing process improvements to optimize production.

Qualifications

4-6 years&apos Experience

Education: ITI/ Diploma/ NTTF/ GTTC

New product development - machine setting and prove-out, CNC programming (Fanuc)

Strong knowledge of CNC turning and VMC (4th & 5th Axis) machine operations,

• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of CNC turning and VMC (4th& 5thAxis) machine operations.
• Understanding of G-codes, M-codes, and canned cycles (e.g., G71, G81, G83, G84).
• Knowledge of machine zero setting, tool offsets, and wear compensation.
• Good in engineering drawings, GD&T, and measurement tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong team player with the ability to work under supervision.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes.
• Discipline in documentation and quality practices.

Software Skills:

1. CNC & VMC Programming Software:

• FANUC & SIEMENSProgramming Interface
• G/M Code Knowledge
• (G71, G70, G83, G84, G90, G91, etc. manual code editing & interpretation)

2. CAD Software (Strong Knowledge):

• AutoCAD for reading 2D drawings

3. CAM Software (Strong Knowledge):

• Mastercam / Fusion 360 / Edgecam / Siemens NX knowledge of toolpath generation (optional but beneficial for long-term growth)

4. Documentation Tools:

• MS Excel to maintain dimensional inspection reports, logs, and tolerance deviations
• MS Word / PowerPoint for basic documentation and reporting

5. DNC/Program Transfer Tools:

• CIMCO Edit / Predator DNC / NC Net for CNC program editing and transfer (if applicable in the shop floor)
