Role Overview

Dentsu AMP is looking for a Set Designer to bring creative concepts to life across branded content, digital campaigns, social media, advertising, and commercial productions. This role is ideal for a visually driven professional who understands set design, production design, art direction, spatial styling, props, and on-ground execution, and can translate a creative brief into engaging, shoot-ready environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop set design concepts, visual treatments, moodboards, sketches, and references based on creative briefs.
• Translate creative ideas into visually strong, functional, and production-ready sets.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Production Designers, Producers, Stylists, Photographers, and Directors.
• Plan and execute set builds, set dressing, prop styling, furniture, backgrounds, installations, and spatial elements.
• Research and source props, furniture, materials, fabrics, décor, textures, and set elements.
• Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, carpenters, rental houses, and production teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Support pre-production planning, budgeting, sourcing, fabrication, installation, and on-set execution.
• Manage set requirements while maintaining creative quality, timelines, budgets, and brand guidelines.
• Be hands-on during shoots, including set dressing, styling, troubleshooting, and last-minute creative changes.
• Stay updated on design trends, contemporary aesthetics, materials, production techniques, and cultural references.

Requirements

• 2–3.5 years of experience in Set Design, Production Design, Art Direction, Spatial Design, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of visual composition, colour, materials, scale, textures, and spatial aesthetics.
• Hands-on experience with set builds, set dressing, props, sourcing, fabrication, and on-set execution.
• Ability to translate creative briefs into strong, practical, and production-ready set concepts.
• Strong vendor coordination, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to work under tight timelines.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design tools; a strong portfolio is essential.
