Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect to lead the design,
governance, and strategic evolution of the ServiceNow platform within our organization.
As a Solution Architect, you will define and maintain the architectural vision of the Now Platform,
ensuring alignment with business strategy, enterprise architecture standards, and ServiceNow's
product roadmap. You will work closely with business stakeholders, platform owners, developers,
administrators, and integration teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow
solutions across ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and RSM.
This role requires deep platform expertise, architectural governance experience, and the ability to
translate complex business needs into sustainable technical solutions aligned with industry best
practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Architecture & Strategy
. Create and maintain detailed architectural views of the ServiceNow platform (logical,
physical, integration, and data architecture)
. Define and evolve the ServiceNow instance strategy (single vs multi-instance, domain
separation, environment strategy)
. Align Now Platform capabilities with enterprise business strategy and ServiceNow roadmap
. Establish architecturalstandards, design principles, and platform governance frameworks
. Identify reuse opportunities, common services, and enforce code quality standards
2. Solution Design & Architecture Governance
. Lead architecture design for new initiatives and enhancements
. Develop architectural controls, impact analysis, and solution blueprints for new requirements
. Ensure scalability, security, performance, and upgrade readiness
. Define data models, CMDB strategy, and configuration standards
. Oversee governance processes, technical design reviews, and architectural compliance
3. Integration & Enterprise Architecture
. Develop enterprise integration strategy between ServiceNow and other systems
. Design REST/SOAP web services and system integrations
. Define API governance, MID Server strategy, and integration security standards
. Ensure seamless data exchange and automation across enterprise platforms
4. Platform Operations & Standards
. Guide platform operations/support teams in implementing technical standards and best
practices
. Define policies for development of lifecycle, release governance, and environment
management
. Promote DevOps and Agile delivery models within the ServiceNow ecosystem
5. Business & Stakeholder Engagement
. Collaborate with business stakeholders for requirements analysis and solution mapping
. Translate business needs into architectural designs and technicalspecifications
. Communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
. Provide technical leadership during implementation and transformation initiatives
6. Documentation & Continuous Improvement
. Create and maintain architecture documentation, design artifacts, workflows, and
integration diagrams
. Identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvement
. Stay updated with ServiceNow releases, emerging capabilities, and industry trends
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Expertise
. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and data structures
. Deep understanding of database concepts and CMDB architecture
. Proficiency in JavaScript, platform configuration, and customization
. Expertise in REST APIs, Web Services (SOAP/REST), JSON, XML
. Experience with system integrations and enterprise architecture patterns
. Strong knowledge of SPM, ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and/or RSM modules
. Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
. Strong understanding of ITIL best practices

Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
(Master's preferred)
. 8+ years of overall ServiceNow experience, including architecture responsibilities
. Proven track record of designing and implementing complex enterprise-scale ServiceNow
solutions
Certifications(Preferred Industry Alignment)
. Certified System Administrator (CSA)
. Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - ITSM
. Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - HRSD
. Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - CSM/RSM
. Certified Technical Architect (CTA) - Highly Preferre
