Role: Job Description - ServiceNow TPRM QA/ Dev

Experience: 5+ years

Role Overview:

We are seeking a ServiceNow TPRM QA/Dev specialist who will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring high quality delivery of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) implementations on the ServiceNow IRM platform, while also contributing to minor development/configuration tasks. This hybrid role focuses on functional QA, automation testing, validation of configurations/workflows, defect analysis, and supporting developers in enhancements, small scripts, test data setup, and platform quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

1. TPRM Functional & Platform Testing

Perform endtoend testing of vendor intake, tiering, duediligence assessments, triggered workflows, residual risk scoring, remediation workflows, periodic reviews, and dashboards.

Validate Assessment Designer templates, question sets, dynamic logic, and branching rules.

Test issue creation, remediation plans, evidence workflows, and exception/approval workflows.

Ensure correct functioning of scoring models, KRIs/KPIs, risk statements, and risk register entries.

2. ServiceNow QA & Automation

Design and execute test plans, test cases, regression suites, and functional test scripts for ServiceNow TPRM.

Perform API testing for platform integrations, inbound/outbound message flows, and scheduled data imports.

Execute UI and workflow tests across Web UI, Workspace, and mobile (if applicable).

Build reusable test data sets, automated scripts (where appropriate), and regression packs.

3. Defect Management & Platform Assurance

Log defects, perform rootcause analysis, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Reproduce issues, validate fixes, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Ensure all workflows, scripts, ACLs, and integrations meet platform stability and performance standards.

Participate in sprint ceremonies, story refinement, and definition of acceptance criteria.

4. Light Development / Configuration Support

Support creation and maintenance of:

UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules (minor updates)

Flow Designer workflows (noncomplex tasks)

Data imports, transform maps, scheduled jobs

Table configurations and small modifications

Assist developers with debugging, test data preparation, and configuration validation.

5. Integrations & Data Validation

Test integrations with:

BitSight, SecurityScorecard, RiskRecon

Procurement systems (SAP/Ariba, Coupa)

CLM systems and CMDB

Validate API payloads, data transformations, import sets, error-handling logic, and reconciliation rules.

6. Documentation & Compliance

Prepare QA documentation: test plans, test cases, results, traceability matrix, and defect reports.

Ensure alignment with internal audit, risk, and compliance expectations.

Support release documentation, deployment checklists, and hypercare.

Skills & Qualifications (Combined)

Strong knowledge of ServiceNow IRM/TPRM, vendor risk processes, tiering models, assessments, evidence workflows, issue/remediation, dashboards, and scoring.

Hands-on QA expertise in ServiceNow: functional testing, workflow validation, regression testing, API testing, and integration testing.

Basic to intermediate ServiceNow development skills: Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, data imports, ACL logic (understanding + minor implementation).

Good understanding of REST APIs, IntegrationHub, transform maps, import sets, and data validation approaches.

Knowledge of risk frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2), duediligence assessments, KRIs/KPIs, control testing, and regulatory expectations.

Strong analytical and debugging skills for identifying root causes and validating risk logic, workflow flows, and automation accuracy.

Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills able to work with developers, architects, PMs, QA leads, and business stakeholders.

High attention to detail, structured thinking, and a qualitydriven mindset.

Education Qualifications and Certifications preferred

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow IRM Implementation Specialist (preferred)

ISTQB or equivalent QA/testing certification (added advantage)

ITIL Foundation certification (optional)
