Role: ServiceNow ITOM Developer
Experience: 4–10 Years (can be adjusted as per requirement)
Location: PAN India / Project Delivery Locations
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Requirements*
Development & Implementation
- Design and develop solutions within ServiceNow ITOM modules including:
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- Orchestration
- Cloud Management (optional)
- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications using:
- Client scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies
- Build and maintain custom workflows and Flow Designer flows
- Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub
CMDB & Data Management
- Design, implement, and maintain CMDB architecture
- Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and normalization
- Implement Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules
- Manage CI relationships and service mapping enhancements
ITOM Capabilities
- Implement and maintain:
- ServiceNow Discovery schedules and patterns
- Service Mapping for business services
- Event Management configurations and alert correlation
- Configure monitoring integrations (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, SCOM, etc.)
Integration & Automation
- Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems (monitoring tools, cloud platforms, etc.)
- Automate operational processes using Orchestration / IntegrationHub
- Work with MID Servers for secure data exchange
Support & Optimization
- Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize performance
- Support upgrades and instance maintenance
- Follow best practices for platform security, governance, and scalability
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules
- Proficiency in:
- JavaScript
- Glide API
- ServiceNow scripting
- Hands-on experience with:
- CMDB design and governance
- Discovery & Service Mapping
- Event Management & alert correlation
- Knowledge of:
- REST/SOAP integrations
- MID Server configuration
- Flow Designer / Workflow
Platform Expertise
- Experience in ServiceNow platform architecture
- Familiarity with:
- ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
- Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) – preferred
- DevOps and CI/CD practices – optional
Key Responsibilities*
- Understand the given application requirements (or User Stories)
- Understand and follow the Best Practices and Standards/Guidelines for development
- Participate in the Daily stand-up meetings and understand the changes proposed on the requirements / user stories
- Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks in an effective manner, meeting designated standards and criteria
- Responsible for the code quality of assigned tasks
- Perform Unit Testing and do documentation as required
- Provide support to the users during the User Acceptance Testing
- Provide any required training to the users on the user stories
- Customize and configure ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms, and scripts to meet business needs.
- Develop integrations between ServiceNow and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of ServiceNow solutions.

Certifications
- ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM
- Additional certifications (ITIL Foundation, CIS, CAD) are a plus
