Job Description
The Senior ServiceNow Developer (SPM) will be the technical architect for the suite formerly known as ITBM. You will design and implement the tools that leadership uses to plan, track, and execute work, including Demand, Project, Resource, and Portfolio Management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Roadmap Implementation: Configure and customize Alignment Planner Workspace (APW) to help stakeholders visualize long-term strategy and roadmap dependencies.
Financial Management Logic: Develop and maintain complex fiscal scripts for Cost Plans, Expense Lines, and Benefit Plans, ensuring accurate ROI and NPV calculations.
Resource Management Automation: Build and optimize resource request workflows, capacity planning tools, and time-tracking integrations.
Project Workspace Customization: Enhance the Project Workspace and Investment Funding modules to provide a modern, intuitive UI/UX for Project Managers.
Process Integration: Seamlessly integrate SPM with Agile 2.0 / SAFe and Test Management to ensure a continuous flow from Idea to Deployment.
Advanced Scripting: Write Script Includes and Business Rules to automate status report generation, project health indicators, and stage-gate approvals.
Performance Analytics: Build sophisticated executive dashboards that track portfolio health, budget vs. actuals, and resource utilization.
Required Skills & Experience
4 to 5 years of ServiceNow Development experience, with 3+ years focused on SPM/ITBM.
Expertise in Financial Logic: Strong understanding of how ServiceNow handles project accounting, labor rates, and fiscal periods.
Strategic Tooling: Deep hands-on experience with Demand Management, Project Portfolio (PPM), and Resource Management.
Agile Frameworks: Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and how they are modeled in ServiceNow.
Full-Stack ServiceNow Skills: Proficiency in Flow Designer, UI Builder (for Workspaces), JavaScript/Glide API, and IntegrationHub.
