Position Overview
- We are seeking a seasoned ServiceNow professional with deep expertise in the ServiceNow App Engine to design, develop, and deliver low-code/no-code applications. The role blends advanced development, AI & Intelligent Automation, platform administration, and DevOps responsibilities, including plugin management and source-code repository handling within ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will drive rapid solution delivery while ensuring platform stability, governance, and best-practice compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Build Low-Code/No-Code Apps
- Create applications using ServiceNow App Engine (App Studio, Flow Designer, Integration Hub).
- Develop custom tables, UI pages, widgets, and mobile experiences.
- Platform Administration
- Manage users, roles, ACLs, and data imports.
- Perform instance health checks, upgrades, and patching.
- AI & Intelligent Automation
- ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist, to accelerate application development, automate workflows, generate insights, and enhance user experiences across lowcode/nocode solutions.
- Identify, design, and implement AIdriven use cases (GenAI, predictive insights, intelligent recommendations) in line with enterprise AI governance, security, and data privacy standards
- Release & Deployment Management
- Own the full release pipeline (dev test staging prod).
- Use Update Sets, Application Repository, and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to automate deployments.
- Plugin & Integration Handling
- Evaluate, install, and configure ServiceNow plugins (e.g., Performance Analytics, ITSM, HR).
- Build and maintain integrations via Integration Hub spokes, REST/SOAP, and scripted APIs.
- Governance & Best Practices
- Enforce coding standards, documentation, and version-control policies.
- Conduct peer reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
- Mentorship & Collaboration
- Guide junior developers and administrators.
- Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and ITSM teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases and low-code trends.
- Recommend process automation, platform optimizations, and new capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
- ServiceNow Expertise
- 5+ years of ServiceNow experience; 3+ years focused on App Engine/low-code development.
- Strong grasp of ServiceNow data model, CMDB, and ITSM processes.
- Technical Proficiency
- Flow Designer, Integration Hub, App Studio, ServiceNow Studio.
- JavaScript (server-side & client-side), Glide APIs, UI macros.
- Git (or other SCM) and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow.
- Administration & Operations
- Instance configuration, upgrade management, plugin lifecycle, security (ACLs, roles).
- Problem-Solving & Design
- Ability to translate complex business needs into elegant, performant low-code solutions.
- Communication
- Clear verbal and written communication; comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
