Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in Service Portal and UI Builder (Now Experience Framework) to design, develop, and maintain intuitive, user-friendly ServiceNow interfaces. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in front-end development within ServiceNow and a strong understanding of platform capabilities, integrations, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Portal Development
- Design and develop custom widgets using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize and enhance ServiceNow Service Portal pages and themes.
- Develop reusable portal components and maintain widget libraries.
- Implement responsive and mobile-friendly portal interfaces.
- Optimize portal performance and user experience.
- Configure catalog items, record producers, and workflows for portal usage.
- UI Builder / Now Experience Development
- Develop and customize interfaces using UI Builder and Now Experience Framework.
- Build and configure custom components using web components.
- Design and implement Workspaces using UI Builder.
- Configure data resources, client state parameters, and event handlers.
- Implement role-based access and user personalization.
- Ensure seamless migration from Service Portal to UI Builder where applicable.
Platform Development & Integration
- Develop client-side and server-side scripts.
- Create Script Includes, Business Rules, and UI Policies.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Work with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
- Ensure compliance with ServiceNow development best practices.
Collaboration & Support
- Work with business stakeholders to gather UI/UX requirements.
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations.
- Perform code reviews and ensure development standards.
- Support testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge articles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in ServiceNow development.
- Hands-on experience in Service Portal widget development.
- Experience working with UI Builder / Now Experience Framework.
- Proficiency in:
- JavaScript
- AngularJS
- HTML5 & CSS3
- REST API integrations
- Knowledge of ServiceNow data model and scripting concepts.
- Experience with Flow Designer and Catalog development.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Experience in Workspace development.
- Exposure to Employee Center / Customer Service Portal.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design.
- Experience in version control and CI/CD pipelines.
