Job Description

Overview

ServiceNow Tester to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of ServiceNow implementations. The ideal candidate will have experience in functional, regression, and automated testing within the ServiceNow platform, a strong understanding of ITSM processes, and the ability to collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ServiceNow modules and custom applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on ServiceNow solutions.
  • Validate workflows, business rules, client scripts, integrations, and configurations.
  • Ensure ServiceNow solutions meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to identify and resolve defects.
  • Track, manage, and report defects/issues using standard defect management tools.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Test ServiceNow upgrades and patches, ensuring existing functionality is not impacted.
  • Contribute to test automation efforts using appropriate ServiceNow and third-party tools.
  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer related to test processes and results.

Requirements


Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years in ServiceNow testing.
  • Hands-on experience testing ServiceNow ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, request).
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as ITOM, HRSD, or CSM (preferred).
  • Experience in manual and automated testing practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, ATF - Automated Test Framework in ServiceNow).
  • Exposure to ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework) for regression testing.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • ServiceNow CSA certification (a plus).
