Job Description
ServiceNow Test Automation Key Responsibilities
Design and Develop Automated Tests:
Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using ServiceNow ATF to validate ServiceNow applications, configurations, and customizations. This includes functional, regression, and potentially performance testing.
Test Scenario And Case Creation
Collaborate with stakeholders (business analysts, developers) to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and create detailed test cases.
Identify, document, track, and manage defects identified during testing, working with development teams for timely resolution.
Conduct automated regression testing for ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure platform stability and prevent unintended impacts.
Execute end-to-end test scenarios, including validating integrations with third-party applications and ensuring data flow accuracy.
Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, recommending best practices for ServiceNow test automation.
Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and test results to relevant stakeholders.
ServiceNow Expertise
Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, product owners) throughout the software development lifecycle, participating in Agile ceremonies. Required Skills and Qualifications:
7+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and ServiceNow test automation.
Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including various modules (e.g., ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, GRC/TPRM), configurations, and workflows.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), including designing, building, and maintaining automated test cases and suites.
Scripting Knowledge
Familiarity with server-side scripting (e.g., JavaScript within ServiceNow) for advanced test scenarios is often required.
Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes of issues.
Communication Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
