Operational Responsibilities:
Understanding business requirements/user stories for development under guidance of lead developer
Following guidelines, ways of working as per project/client and documenting development work
Adherence to ServiceNow development best practices, secure coding best practices as per engagement
Perform self testing, participate in UAT, code reviews, peer reviews and documenting results
Adherence to the timelines, quality standards and methodology as per the engagement/project
Upskilling & learning leveraging organizational assets as per assigned learning targets
Adherence to the policies and compliance requirements of the organization
Technical Responsibilities:
Configure, Customize/Develop & Maintain forms, tables, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, business rules, notifications, etc.
Configure, Customize/Develop & Maintain service portal, list views, workspaces, now mobile interfaces, etc.
Configure, Customize/Develop & Maintain instance branding, themes, across form factors etc.
Configure, Customize/Develop & Maintain dashboards, reports, data sources including performance analytic and NOW Assist features
Configure, Customize/Develop & Maintain workflows, virtual agent conversations, predictive intelligence reports, Now Assist features
Configure & Develop using Integration Hub, Custom APIs, Graph connectors etc.
Configure & Develop chat/incident summarization, resolution notes using GenAI on ServiceNow (Now Assist for ITSM) and code/flow/catalog/form generation(NOW Assist for Creator).
Build, modify, and deploy AI Agents using AI Agent Studio; design agentic workflows; orchestrate multi-agent solutions with AI Agent Orchestrator.
Configure roles, ACLs, data policies, masking prompts, model/provider configuration; auditability via AI Control Tower.
Performan basic instance administration activities like add/update user profiles, groups, roles, auto assignment rules, access etc.
Perform troubleshooting and bug fixing application/data issues reported by users
ITSM - Configuration and Customization of Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, Catalog Items, SLA definitions
Service Now Skills Required:
Handson Experience and Strong Understanding on
Javascripts, Angular JS, Jelly scripting,
HTML,CSS, Bootstrap,Service Now UI Builder framework
Core platform - business rules, UI policies, UI actions, data policies, client scripts, update sets, table designs
Service Portal, Service Catalog, Catalog Items, Requests, Request Items, Service Catalog Tasks, SLA/OLA definitions, schedules, schedule jobs, email notifications, approvals, templates, integrations using APIs, Integration Hub - Connectors,
Development Tools - Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, NOW Experience UI Builder, App Enginee studio, VA designer, Integration Hub, Catalog Builder, ATF etc.
Functional Skills Required:
Understanding and Awareness of
Project Management & Development tools - like JIRA, AzureDevOps,
Industry Standard Frameworks like ITIL, DevOps, Agile/Waterfall
Technical Documentation - Documenting Technical Specification, Test Case/Scripts, Understanding of Design Documents like HLD/LLD etc.
Certification Required:
Must Have - ServiceNow CSA, CAD, Generative AI microcredentials (e.g., Now Assist Essentials / Generative AI Fundamentals on Now Learning)
Good To Have - CAS, CIS - ITSM, ITIL Foundation 4.0
