Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. As a key member, you will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance business processes, automate workflows, and ensure the platform aligns with organizational goals and ITIL best practices. Key Deliverables
- Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CSM) to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts, UI policies, UI actions, business rules, and client scripts to enhance platform functionality and user experience.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using APIs, web services, and IntegrationHub to streamline data flow and process automation.
- Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Perform unit testing and system testing, and coordinate UAT with stakeholders to ensure quality and functionality of developed solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, changes, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and platform maintenance.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and instance maintenance activities to ensure system stability and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and security standards within the ServiceNow platform, protecting sensitive data and maintaining system integrity.
- Stay current with new ServiceNow features and best practices, providing recommendations for platform optimization and continuous improvement.
Must-Have Skills
- Technical: Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS; familiar with REST/SOAP integrations and their applications within ServiceNow
- Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of ITIL processes and their practical application to ServiceNow modules.
- Behavioral & Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Process & SOP: Experience in documenting configurations, changes, and processes to maintain system knowledge.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively and in a timely manner
Good-to-Have Skills
- Advanced Technical: Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Scoped Applications for advanced automation and integration tasks.
- Additional Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Implementation Specialist certifications.
- Cross-Functional Exposure: Experience working with cross-functional teams, understanding the needs of different departments.
- Leadership Traits: Skills in providing guidance to junior team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Open to learning better ways to enhance platform optimization.
