Job Summary
Rollomatic is looking for an experienced Service Engineer to support installation, servicing, and overhauling of high-precision CNC machine tools. The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer-site support to ensure optimal machine performance and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance, and overhauling of precision CNC machine tools
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in CNC machines
- Handle installation, commissioning, and calibration of machine tools at customer sites
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize machine downtime
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical layouts, and CNC documentation
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for recurring machine issues
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and customers for service planning
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation
- Provide basic operator training and technical guidance to customers when required
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and service protocols
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools and precision machinery
- Expertise in electrical & mechanical troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience in machine servicing and overhauling
- Understanding of CNC controls, drives, motors, sensors, and hydraulics/pneumatics
- Ability to work independently at customer locations
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%)
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 410 years of relevant experience in CNC machine servicing
- Exposure to high-precision or tool-grinding machines will be an added advantage
- Problem-solving mindset with strong technical aptitude
