Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated
Service Engineer specialized in
Furnace Monitoring Cameras to join our global field operations team. This role is critical for ensuring the performance and reliability of high-temperature imaging systems in demanding industrial environments. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the product at client sites—from initial demonstration and installation to commissioning and long-term maintenance.
Travel Requirement: 70% – 80% (Domestic India & International - frequent travel to steel plants, cement kilns, and glass factories).
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise and execute the mechanical and electrical installation of furnace camera systems, including cooling jackets, retraction units, and pneumatic/hydraulic lines.
- Configure networking and software interfaces to ensure real-time video feeds reach control rooms.
- Perform system calibration to ensure accurate imaging and temperature sensing in high-heat zones.
- Service & Maintenance
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting of camera systems.
- Diagnose issues related to lens fouling, cooling failures, or electronic degradation caused by extreme thermal environments.
- Manage spare parts inventory for your assigned region/projects.
- Product Demonstration & Sales Support
- Conduct technical demonstrations for prospective clients to showcase image clarity, software features, and system durability.
- Assist the sales team by providing technical feasibility assessments of furnace tapping points and installation sites.
- Training & Documentation
- Train plant operators on camera software and maintenance teams on basic cleaning and safety procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive Site Acceptance Test (SAT) reports and service logs.
Candidate Profile
Technical Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years in industrial service, preferably with CCTV, thermal imaging, or instrumentation in heavy industries (Steel, Cement, Power).
- Skills: * Knowledge of industrial networking (TCP/IP, Fiber Optics).
- Understanding of cooling systems (water/air) and pneumatic actuators.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights and in hot/dusty industrial environments.
Soft Skills & Logistics
- Mobility: Must possess a valid Passport and be willing to travel at short notice for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills for product demonstrations; fluent in English and Hindi.
- Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to industrial safety protocols (PPE, Lock-out/Tag-out).
