A leading Telecoms organisation in Dublin is seeking a skilled Messaging Services Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative messaging solutions that drive efficiency and growth.
What You Will Be Doing in the Role:
- Local Market Delivery Engineer: Define, design, and implement messaging solutions (SMS, MMS, Voicemail, IP Messaging, Cell Broadcast) to meet business and marketing requirements.
- Collaboration: Work with local and remote cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of messaging services.
- Messaging Service Evolution: Drive the evolution of messaging services and platforms, focusing on harmonization and centralization within the European Region.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage vendor activities to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with requirements.
- Technology Trends: Track and evaluate technology trends, initiate new processes or solutions, and introduce cost-effective technologies.
What You Will Need:
- Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience working in messaging services.
- Network Design experience is a distinct advantage
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of telecom technologies, core network, value-added services, network function virtualisation, DevOps/Agile frameworks, and cloud/containerised environments.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Project Management Certification: Preferred but not essential.
