Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and technically strong SEO Specialist / SEO Lead to own and scale our organic search presence for both the company and client brands. This role is ideal for someone who understands modern SEO, including AI-driven search, AIEO, GEO, and EEAT frameworks, and can design and execute future-ready SEO strategies from the ground up.
You will play a critical role in shaping how brands appear across traditional SERPs and AI-powered discovery platforms.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Build and execute end-to-end SEO strategies for company and client websites
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap audits
- Drive on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives
- Track organic traffic, rankings, and conversions using GA4 and Google Search Console
- Create SEO roadmaps aligned with quarterly business and growth goals
Technical SEO Excellence
- Perform regular technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, speed, schema, logs)
- Create and manage robots.txt, XML sitemaps (web, image, video), and crawl budgets
- Implement and audit structured data / schema markup (Article, Product, FAQ, Review, LocalBusiness, etc.)
- Ensure Core Web Vitals compliance (LCP, CLS, INP/FID) and mobile-first optimisation
- Manage canonical tags, hreflang, redirects (301/302), pagination, URL parameters, and error resolution
- Collaborate closely with the web development team to execute technical fixes
- Monitor server performance, TTFB, response codes, and hosting-level issues
Content & On-Page Optimisation
- Partner with content teams to create SEO-optimised blogs, landing pages, and service pages
- Optimise existing content for higher rankings and improved CTR
- Build and manage a robust internal linking architecture
- Develop content briefs using semantic keyword clusters, NLP, and search intent mapping
- Optimise meta tags, headings (H1–H4), and image attributes
EEAT Framework Implementation
- Audit and strengthen Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness signals
- Build author bios, credibility pages, and expertise markers
- Implement trust elements: SSL, privacy policies, editorial standards, About & Contact pages
- Earn high-quality backlinks, citations, and brand mentions
- Ensure content demonstrates first-hand experience, especially for YMYL-adjacent topics
AI-Driven SEO (AIEO) & GEO
- Optimise content for AI-generated answers (Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, Perplexity, ChatGPT)
- Structure content for LLM readability, AI snippets, FAQs, summaries, and definitions
- Track and influence brand visibility in AI responses
- Develop Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies
- Build entity-based content frameworks to strengthen knowledge graph presence
Off-Page SEO & Digital PR
- Execute link-building strategies: guest posting, digital PR, broken link building, skyscraper technique
- Monitor backlink health via Ahrefs / SEMrush and disavow toxic links
- Build relationships with bloggers, journalists, and industry publications
- Convert unlinked brand mentions into link equity
Marketplace & Local SEO (Preferred)
- Apply SEO strategies to Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra product listings
- Optimise titles, bullets, descriptions, and backend keywords
- Understand A9/A10 marketplace algorithms
- Manage Google Business Profiles (GBP) and local citations
- Implement local schema markup
Reporting, Analytics & Growth
- Build and maintain SEO dashboards using Looker Studio, GA4, and GSC
- Deliver actionable insights on traffic, rankings, CTR, impressions, and conversions
- Run SEO experiments (title/meta A/B tests, schema testing)
- Stay updated with Google algorithm updates, Quality Rater Guidelines, and AI search trends
Requirements
Must-Have
- 2–5 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
- Strong command of technical, on-page, off-page SEO & EEAT
- Expertise in GA4, GSC, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio
- Experience with robots.txt, XML sitemaps, schema markup (JSON-LD)
- Hands-on experience with WordPress or similar CMS
- Proven ability to grow organic traffic and keyword rankings
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Good-to-Have
- Experience with AIEO / GEO / AI search optimisation
- Marketplace SEO exposure (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra)
- Google Tag Manager & UTM tracking
- Log file analysis tools (Botify, Screaming Frog Log Analyser)
- HTML/CSS fundamentals & SSR concepts
- B2B, SaaS, or international SEO experience
- Knowledge graph, entity SEO, and semantic search expertise
