Senior Workday SCM Lead Consultant (Techno-Functional Consultant / Lead)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Workday SCM Techno-Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Workday Supply Chain Management configuration and a solid understanding of end-to-end SCM business processes.
The ideal candidate will be primarily strong in SCM functional configuration, with working exposure to integrations, reporting, and data loads, and will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Workday Finance/HCM teams, and IT.
Note: Deep expertise in all technical areas is not mandatory. Strength in SCM configuration with exposure to integrations or reporting is acceptable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workday SCM Configuration (Primary Focus)
- Configure and support Procurement, Inventory Management, Supplier Management, and related SCM business processes.
- Configure Business Process Frameworks, security roles, domain policies, and approvals.
- Partner with business users to translate requirements into scalable Workday SCM solutions.
2. Functional Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a functional SME for SCM processes.
- Lead requirement gathering, solution design discussions, and functional walkthroughs.
- Recommend Workday best practices and process optimizations.
3. Integrations & Technical Exposure (Secondary Focus)
- Support and troubleshoot integrations using EIB and Workday Web Services.
- Collaborate with integration specialists on Workday Studio (hands-on Studio experience preferred, not mandatory).
- Assist with inbound/outbound data flows between Workday and third-party systems.
4. Reporting & Data
- Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
- Support data loads and migrations using EIB and Workday templates.
- Validate and reconcile SCM data during implementations and enhancements.
5. Testing & Deployment
- Lead or support Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT.
- Prepare test scenarios and validate SCM configurations.
- Support go-live and post-production stabilization.
6. Documentation & Support
- Maintain clear documentation for configurations, integrations, and processes.
- Provide SME-level support for SCM-related issues and enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday SCM configuration.
- Solid understanding of Procurement and Inventory business processes.
- Experience working in Workday implementation or post-production support environments.
- Exposure to EIB-based integrations and Workday reporting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Workday SCM Certification (Procurement / Inventory / Supplier Management).
- Exposure to Workday Studio, Prism, or Cloud Platform.
- Prior experience with other ERP/SCM systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience working with Finance and HCM modules in Workday.
